FairFiles Hub Legal Center
Privacy Policy
FairFiles Hub uses a data-minimized, local-first architecture and provides nationwide U.S. privacy disclosures for account, security, support, browser-storage, and AI-processing activities.
1. Scope, Operator, and Nationwide Application
FairFiles Hub is a consumer education and self-help technology platform owned and operated by Credit Score Defenders LLC in New York. It provides consumer education, local evidence-organization tools, and document-preparation assistance. FairFiles Hub is not a law firm and does not provide legal representation. Legal notices may be sent to legal@fairfilehub.com.
This Privacy Policy applies to FairFiles Hub websites, account services, member tools, support channels, and other features that link to this Policy. FairFiles Hub is intended for users in the United States. State privacy rights and obligations vary, so rights described below apply only where the relevant law covers the person, information, and business activity.
This Policy does not govern third-party websites, government portals, courts, credit bureaus, legal-aid organizations, or other destinations that FairFiles Hub links to. Those parties maintain their own privacy and security practices.
2. Data-Minimization and Local-First Principles
FairFiles Hub is designed to collect and retain only account, consent, security, support, and other information reasonably necessary to operate the Service. Sensitive consumer case materials should remain in storage selected and controlled by the member whenever the active local-first tools permit.
The Local Evidence Vault is designed to encrypt selected files in the member’s browser and save the encrypted package to storage selected by the member. FairFiles Hub cannot recover a forgotten vault password or restore a local file that the member loses.
3. Categories of Personal Information We May Process
Category Examples Primary purpose Account identifiers Name, verified email, internal user ID, role, account status Authentication, member access, security, account administration Consent and legal records Policy versions, acceptance timestamps, optional follow-up consent, withdrawal records Document consent, honor preferences, compliance and audit Security and technical data IP address, device/browser data, timestamps, authentication and security events Fraud prevention, abuse detection, reliability and security Support and request data Information deliberately submitted in support, privacy, deletion, accessibility, or security requests Respond to the request and maintain an appropriate record AI prompt data Text deliberately entered into the Credit Education Assistant Provide the requested AI-assisted educational response Local browser data Session storage and local preferences Maintain temporary signup state, accessibility choices, and local feature state 4. Sensitive Information We Do Not Ask You to Put in General Features
Do not place Social Security numbers, full financial-account numbers, passwords, authentication codes, government-ID images, medical information, complete credit reports, court exhibits, or other unnecessary sensitive information into support messages or the Credit Education Assistant.
FairFiles Hub may reject or block high-risk content in certain features. A technical block is a risk-control measure, not a guarantee that every sensitive item will be detected.
5. Local Workspace and Case Information
When used as designed, the Local Evidence Vault and local document tools are intended to keep debt documents, evidence, completed letters, and other case materials on storage selected and controlled by the member rather than in FairFiles Hub case-storage databases.
Account deletion does not delete a local vault, downloaded letter, exported calculator result, or other file stored on the member’s device or selected storage location. The member controls and must separately delete those files.
6. Case Information Not Intended for FairFiles Hub Server Storage
- Full credit reports, debt statements, evidence files, court exhibits, and completed letter files.
- Social Security numbers, government-ID images, vault passwords, encryption keys, recovery phrases, or authentication codes.
- Full creditor or collector account numbers and unnecessary financial-account credentials.
- Local vault contents and the member’s local encryption password.
7. Sources of Personal Information
- Directly from you when you create an account, accept policies, contact support, exercise a privacy right, or use a feature that requires submitted text.
- Automatically from authentication, hosting, security, and network infrastructure when needed to operate or protect the Service.
- From a sign-in provider, such as Google, when you choose provider-based authentication and the provider supplies permitted account information.
8. How We Use Personal Information
- Create, authenticate, secure, and administer member accounts.
- Provide requested tools, educational features, and support.
- Record required policy acceptance and optional communication preferences.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, misuse of paid or credit-consuming infrastructure, and security incidents.
- Debug, maintain, and improve the Service using information reasonably necessary for those purposes.
- Respond to privacy, deletion, accessibility, legal, and security requests.
- Comply with applicable law, lawful process, and enforceable obligations; establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and protect users, FairFiles Hub, Credit Score Defenders LLC, and others.
9. Service Providers and Other Disclosures
FairFiles Hub may disclose information to hosting, authentication, email, AI-processing, security, infrastructure, and other service providers only as reasonably necessary for the service they provide. Provider handling is also governed by their applicable contracts, terms, and privacy practices.
Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process; protect rights, safety, or security; investigate fraud or abuse; enforce agreements; or support a merger, financing, reorganization, acquisition, or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to applicable law.
10. No Sale of Personal Information; No Targeted Advertising in the Active Source
The active FairFiles Hub application does not sell personal information for money and does not implement targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising through application advertising pixels.
If FairFiles Hub materially changes these practices, the Privacy Policy and any legally required notice, opt-out method, or consent mechanism must be updated before the new practice is used.
11. AI Processing
Questions submitted to the Credit Education Assistant are transmitted to the configured AI-processing service to generate a response. Provider-side processing, security logging, abuse prevention, and retention may occur under the provider’s applicable terms and technical controls.
FairFiles Hub does not promise that an external AI provider will never retain or process submitted text beyond the immediate request. Do not submit information that is unnecessary to receive general educational guidance.
The active local vault and Letter Builder do not intentionally send local vault files or completed local document contents to the Credit Education Assistant.
13. Retention and Deletion
Following verification and processing of an account-deletion request, FairFiles Hub generally schedules eligible user-controlled content for deletion within 60 days. Certain records may be retained longer when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, enforce agreements, maintain security, complete requested transactions, honor legal holds, preserve required consent or audit records, or protect the rights and safety of users and others. Hosting, authentication, email, and infrastructure providers may retain residual or security copies under their documented schedules and legal obligations; this application source cannot certify or override those schedules.
Optional follow-up records are assigned a scheduled deletion date 60 days after consent is recorded under the active application workflow. Withdrawing optional follow-up permission stops that permission immediately and places the record on the applicable deletion schedule.
Required consent, security, fraud-prevention, legal, deletion-request, and audit records may be retained longer when reasonably necessary for legal, evidentiary, operational, or security purposes.
14. Security
FairFiles Hub uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to be reasonable for the information and functionality involved, including access controls, authentication, local encryption for designated tools, server-side authorization for protected operations, and data-minimization measures.
No website, network, device, encryption implementation, or service provider can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your credentials, devices, local files, and backups and for promptly reporting suspected unauthorized account access.
15. Security-Incident and Breach Response
If FairFiles Hub becomes aware of a security incident involving information for which applicable law requires notice, FairFiles Hub will evaluate the incident and provide legally required notifications in the manner and timeframe required by applicable law.
This statement does not mean that every security event constitutes a legally reportable data breach.
16. U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and whether a state privacy law applies to FairFiles Hub, you may have rights to request access to or confirmation of processing, obtain a copy of certain personal information, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, obtain portability, opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling, limit certain sensitive-data uses, or appeal a denied privacy request.
Because state laws differ in scope, thresholds, exemptions, definitions, verification rules, and remedies, not every right applies to every user or every category of information. FairFiles Hub will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right that applies to you.
17. California Privacy Notice
Where the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, applies, California residents may have rights to know/access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and receive non-discriminatory treatment for exercising applicable rights.
The active FairFiles Hub application does not sell personal information or use application advertising pixels for cross-context behavioral advertising. If those practices change, FairFiles Hub will implement any legally required California notice and opt-out mechanisms before the changed practice is used.
18. Universal Opt-Out Signals and Global Privacy Control
The active FairFiles Hub source does not perform sale, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, or targeted advertising that currently requires an application-level opt-out signal to change that behavior. As a result, a Global Privacy Control signal does not currently alter those non-existent activities.
If FairFiles Hub later engages in processing for which applicable law requires recognition of a universal opt-out mechanism, the Service must implement the legally required response before that processing is activated.
19. How to Exercise a Privacy Right
Submit a privacy request to privacy@fairfilehub.com or use an available in-account privacy or deletion control. Describe the right you want to exercise and provide the email address associated with your account.
FairFiles Hub may take reasonable steps to verify identity or authority before fulfilling a request. Verification is used to protect account information from unauthorized disclosure or deletion. Where applicable law permits an authorized agent, FairFiles Hub may request proof of authorization and may verify the consumer directly when allowed.
If applicable law gives you a right to appeal a denied request, reply to the decision or contact privacy@fairfilehub.com and clearly state that you are appealing the privacy decision.
20. Children and Minors
FairFiles Hub is intended for adults age 18 and older and is not directed to children. Do not create an account if you are under 18.
FairFiles Hub does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children through the Service. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact privacy@fairfilehub.com so the matter can be reviewed.
21. Processing in the United States
FairFiles Hub is a U.S.-focused service. Information processed by FairFiles Hub and its providers may be stored or processed in the United States and other locations used by those providers, subject to applicable law and provider arrangements.
22. Third-Party and Official Resources
Opening a court, regulator, credit-bureau, legal-aid, government, owner-operated, or other external website leaves FairFiles Hub. The destination controls its own collection, cookies, security, and privacy practices.
23. Changes to This Privacy Policy
FairFiles Hub may update this Policy as laws, technology, providers, or Service practices change. Material changes will be reflected in the version and last-updated date and may require renewed acceptance where appropriate.
24. Privacy Contact
Privacy questions and rights requests may be sent to privacy@fairfilehub.com. Security concerns should be sent to security@fairfilehub.com.
