FairFiles Hub Legal Center
State Privacy Rights
Depending on your state, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or limit certain processing. FairFiles Hub does not sell personal information or engage in targeted advertising.
1. Scope of This Notice
This State Privacy Rights notice explains general privacy rights that may be available to you depending on your state of residence, how to exercise them, and FairFiles Hub's sale/sharing practices. It supplements the Privacy Policy.
FairFiles Hub is a consumer education and self-help technology platform owned and operated by Credit Score Defenders LLC in New York. It provides consumer education, local evidence-organization tools, and document-preparation assistance. FairFiles Hub is not a law firm and does not provide legal representation. Legal notices may be sent to legal@fairfilehub.com.
2. We Do Not Sell or Share for Targeted Advertising
FairFiles Hub does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising. Because we do not sell data, certain “opt-out of sale” rights have limited practical effect for you, but we honor them where applicable law requires.
3. General Rights You May Have
- Access: request a copy of personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Deletion: request deletion of your personal information, subject to exceptions.
- Opt-out: opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not engage in this).
- Limit: in some states, limit the use of sensitive personal information.
- Non-discrimination: exercise rights without being denied service, except where permitted limits apply.
4. How to Submit a Request
Submit requests to privacy@fairfilehub.com. Include your name and the email on your account, describe the request, and the right you wish to exercise. We verify your identity before responding to access, correction, or deletion requests to protect your account.
5. Verification and Authorized Agents
We verify requests using account information. With your permission, an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf; we may require confirmation that the agent is authorized. We may decline requests that cannot be verified, are excessive, or risk the security of others.
6. Response Timing
We respond to verified requests within the time required by applicable law, generally within 45 days where a specific period applies. If we need more time, we will let you know.
7. State-Specific Highlights
Specific rights, definitions, and timelines vary by state. The following are general highlights and do not capture every requirement; that a state is listed does not by itself mean every provision applies to your relationship with FairFiles Hub. Provisions requiring licensed-counsel review are flagged for verification.
- California: residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the CPRA, including access, deletion, correction, and the right to limit certain sensitive data; the right to opt out of sale/sharing; and non-discrimination.
- Virginia, Colorado, and Connecticut: residents may have rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain processing, and to limit sensitive data, with state-specific timelines.
- Other states: additional state privacy laws may provide comparable rights. Consult your state's attorney general or a qualified professional for specifics.
- Specific exemptions (for example, certain financial or health data governed by other laws) may apply and are subject to attorney review before being stated here.
8. Global Privacy Control
The active application source does not include a dedicated Global Privacy Control handler. It also does not initiate targeted advertising, a sale/sharing workflow, or optional client click analytics. Contact privacy@fairfilehub.com to exercise a privacy right that may apply; live provider-level behavior requires separate verification.
9. Sensitive Personal Information
FairFiles Hub does not require sensitive personal information such as full Social Security numbers, full account numbers, health information, or precise geolocation to use core features. Where you voluntarily provide sensitive information, we limit its use to the purpose you provided it and do not use it for targeted advertising.
10. Changes to This Notice
We may update this notice as state laws and documented practices change. Material changes are reflected in the change history.
11. Contact and Escalation
Privacy requests may be sent to the privacy department using the address shown below. Where required by law, you may escalate a complaint to your state attorney general or privacy regulator.
